Winter Quarter Orientation

On December 30th, there was an online winter quarter orientation.

In the results of a survey on quater last fall, it was reported that the intimacy of school members improved after all meetings including classes were turned online. As if reflecting this, this year’s first orientation was more exciting than ever.

This time, there was a joint performance of the winner and runner-up at last year’s Song Camp, especially after completing all the steps. Song Camp is a summer quarter event of Jubilee School, where all graduates and enrolled students participate. All of the winners last year were graduates. Naturally, their performance became a graduate’s performance. At the showcase stage prepared by the school, the performance was held online for about an hour, and all were broadcast online.

Three of the contents of the performance were self-composed, and the introduction of the song naturally became their testimony and expressed great grace to all who attended.

We would like to express our deep appreciation to the graduate winners who inspire our freshmen through their performances.

A short story about Christmas – Merry Chirstmas!

Christmas morning in 2020 has dawned.
We see a holy, warm light in everything that surrounds us.
I don’t know how warm my heart was when I was especially celebrating White Christmas. Because it seemed that God had covered this sin-stained world in white.

However, this Christmas is not just a warm heart.
These days, many people call Christmas X-mas or just holiday. Some Christians call it that way. Some even swear that Christmas is called Christmas.
Those who do not like to have God in their hearts try to erase Jesus from the history of this world.

Christmas is a day of warm grace that God loves us sinners.
This day allowed us to see God, to know God, and to be saved.

Praise more, Christians. And let’s declare it more boldly. Joy to the world!!!

Merry Christmas

The Fall Quarter completes successfully

The Fall quarter was all over on the 16th. School staff and students thank God for the safe completion of a course in the online class, where everything was experimental.

Instructors and students expect this quarter’s achievement to be higher than last summer because the technical team revised and supplemented many processes, making the class much smoother.

After all the exams, the school staff, instructors, and students attended a closing service led by the Chapel Worship Band online and dedicated all schedules for this quarter to God.

Then they greet each other happily and finish all the steps.

The final exam begins

Final exams began in all subjects on the 10th.

Again, the media technology team paid close attention to ensure that the final exams were conducted well online. In particular, they are doing their best in server management to ensure that the performance exam is uninterrupted through real-time streaming.

The online class was already held for over a year. Even after the pandemic is over, the advantages of online are expected to remain the same, but we hope that the advantages of offline can also be reappeared.

Jubilee School’s Vision for 2021

The School Board of Education has announced the 2021 Agenda. “Practical method rooted in the essence”

In 2021, many changes are expected in schools. The Board of Education adjusted and inspected the educational direction of the school under the motto of the cliched but biblical teachings that were valid at all times, that “the purpose of all music is to worship God.”

Nashville, where the school is located, is at the global top of the popular music production industry, including Christian popular music. That’s why Nashville is also the most crowded place of pop musicians in the world. This means that Nashville is a city for musicians who already have their skills.

Jubilee School is planning to create a curriculum in 2021 by combining the above motto with the characteristics of the city.

Through the master’s program, Worship music ministers will be nurtured, and certificate courses such as audio engineer and music product production will be opened as more specialized courses.

Jubilee School will cultivate more professional Christian musicians through this direction.

On the 26th, the Chapel Team Held a Thanksgiving Service.

On the 26th, the Chapel team held a thanksgiving service with students online.

On this day, the chapel team held a service time for about 30 minutes from 6 am early in the morning considering the time with the family.

Below is a summary of the message for the day.

“What is the subject of your gratitude? Is it satisfaction in the world? True Christians thank God through the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Also, that is the thanksgiving that God is pleased with.

When we were still sinners, we were saved from sin by God giving us the Son. The Lord has made us possess, and made us children of God, who have no choice but to live miserably because the source of our existence is dry. This made it possible for us to pray and for us to receive the Holy Spirit. We live in an age where anyone can ask for the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, anyone can bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is the new image of Christians to become a person of the Holy Spirit with gratitude for being saved and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.”

Chapel Worship Band Holds Audio Engineering Special Lecture

As all classes were conducted online, many students naturally became interested in audio engineering for online broadcasting. Especially in the process of making and singing songs together online, knowledge in this field is essential. At the request of many students, David, who serves as an audio engineer in the chapel worship team, gave a special lecture on basic audio engineering.

The concept of the special lecture was in the form of a video of the Chapel Worship band preparing for online worship and attaching David’s commentary to every process.

It was very helpful to the students because there were many overlaps with the environment that students faced with at home. David’s kind explanation was enough to help the students understand.

We plan to hold these special lectures several times in the future. It will also be the predecessor of the audio engineering division to be opened next year.

Chapel Worship Band Recorded for Evangelism

Chapel Worship Band started recording gospel songs to support the evangelism of churches and fellowships.

After the pandemic, many churches and fellowships have started online evangelism. Bible study programs that were previously conducted offline, such as 1:1 Bible study programs and group Bible study programs, are online.

At this point, one difficulty arises. Usually, through a time of praise before and after Bible study, students open their hearts before studying the Bible and help them confess the grace they received to God through praise after completing the Bible study. But online, this process is not easy.

Therefore, for missions agencies facing such difficulties, the Chapel Worship Band started to capture live praise times in video according to the subject of Bible study.

First, the chapel evangelism team will use it.

We hope that the same grace can be found online through praise.

Fall Quater Goes Smoothly

The Fall Quarter is heading towards the middle.

Around this time of the quarter, the Office of Student Affairs always interviews randomly selected students about their academic satisfaction and school life. According to a report by the Office of Student Affairs, students are very satisfied with the online classes currently being conducted. This is very consistent with the statistics of academic achievement and academic concentration in the previous quarter. Above all, the gap between instructors and students has narrowed, and communication and relationships between them have improved a lot.

However, the regret of most students was that there was no dynamic life due to the explosion of passion that occurred in offline meetings.

The improvement in students’ academic aspects is something we should all be pleased with, but the school also misses the dynamic school life through offline meetings.

Jubilee School participated in the 2nd Global Christian Education Summit (hereinafter GCES) held from October 26th to 30th.

GCES is an association of Christian schools around the world and is held once a year. This year, due to the pandemic, all schedules were conducted online.

Many schools attending this Summit are able to learn and exchange the process of set-up by department from the beginning of the Christian school. In addition, there are various tracks for each field, allowing effective exchanges between schools of the same character.

Jubilee School participated in the music track to exchange with various Christian music schools and explore ways to develop together. In particular, the focus was on the mission plan through the music education program.

This GCES, which was held for five days, ended successfully in the grace of God.
