This summer’s quarter’s academic achievement hits the top.

The summer quarter ended with the final exam period on September 9, and as we saw in the mood of the staff and student results, this quarter has been quite successful.
Students’ academic achievement is the highest we have seen compared to all other school quarters.

The most significant achievement we had was the combined teaching method of group lectures and one-on-one advising or study sessions. This method is a hybrid method in which both professors and students are satisfied because the students get the chance to understand the lessons better, and lecturers get personal feedback from each student.

The one-on-one and group lecture hybrid teaching was easier to set up because we moved to online studies.  However, even if the offline class is in effect next year, we will still use online studies to accommodate some students and hold more one-on-one advising sessions.

In addition, we expect online classes to improve for the remaining period of the year. Therefore, we have high hopes for student performance and satisfaction.

2021 Summer Song Camp Well Done.

Summer Song Camp, which started on July 2, ended successfully on July 30.

Because the summer Song Camp was online, we faced unexpected difficulties even though we pushed to optimize the camp activities. However, with the patience and unity of all the staff and participants, our school could complete the songwriting camp safely and successfully.

The winner of this Song Camp came out of the graduates (we omitted his name because of his privacy). The following is the winner’s impression of this year’s victory.

“I am a person who lacks much music, so I can’t believe this win if the factor that was able to win is the content of the lyrics and the musical atmosphere that matched it well. My evaluation of musical technique is intermediate. However, many colleagues who participated with the judges gave an excellent evaluation of the lyrics. I wrote such lyrics because of meditation and application of the Bible, which I did for 30 minutes every morning. In the end, it was the result of the grace that came from my relationship with God.”

The winner will be allowed to showcase the album production fee and showcase.

Spring Quarter is Over

The Spring 2021 Quarter ended yesterday on June 23.

Faculty members said that the rough results of the last week’s final exams showed the students’ high academic achievement during the spring quarter. The high academic performance allowed school authorities to know that the online class system implemented last year is now fully established.

The advantage of online classes is that students can access the same content repeatedly anytime, anywhere. Consequently, we could correlate that frequent revision of lessons and lectures boosted academic achievement; students also mentioned this as the most significant advantage of online classes.

However, there are also some disadvantages. In particular, the less proficient in I.T. a lecturer is, the more time it takes to prepare for the class. From the professor’s point of view, the preparation time increased for each lecture. In the music practice class, all the professors had to get help constantly from the school’s media support department because the specificity of each music class made it challenging to transition without resetting the class layout.

Since we expect on-site classes to begin, possibly, from next year, the school authorities are going through meetings to smoothen these ridges. Therefore, we expect a merge that combines online and offline classes advantages to provide optimal studies.

The school gives utmost thanks and glory to God for the successful closing of this year’s Spring Quarter, and the school is genuinely grateful that there were no students who suffered from the coronavirus. In addition, the school would like to encourage all the students and professors to keep persevering till the end.

Recruitment of applicants for 2021 Summer Song Camp begins

Jubilee School will start accepting applications for 2021 for the ‘Summer Song Camp,’ a representative event. The Summer Song Camp is a songwriting competition held for students and graduates of Jubilee School.

Under the school’s policy, all events will be held online this year, just like last year. The application window will be open for about two weeks, from June 14 to 30th, and the Song Camp will be held for a month from the orientation on Friday, July 2 to July 30.

The award section consists of spotlights on solo and joint work sections; additionally, areas such as lyric writing, top-line making, and track making will receive honorary mentions. We hope that this year’s contest will also bring forth diverse and rich Christian songs

History of Memorial Day

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. It’s difficult to prove the origins of this day as over two dozen towns and cities lay claim to be the birthplace. In May 1966, President Lyndon Johnson stepped in and officially declared Waterloo N.Y. the birthplace of Memorial Day.

Regardless of the location of origins or the exact date, one thing is crystal clear – Memorial Day was borne out of the Civil War (which ended in 1865) and a desire to honor our dead. On the 5th of May in 1868, General John Logan who was the national commander of the Grand Army of the republic, officially proclaimed it in his General Order No. 11.

Part of the history of Memorial Day will show that in the Order, the General proclaimed, “The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land.” Because the day wasn’t the anniversary of any particular battle, the General called it, The date of Decoration Day.

On the first Decoration Day, 5,000 participants decorated the graves of 20,000 Union and Confederate soldiers buried at Arlington Cemetery while General James Garfield made a historic speech.

New York was the first state to officially recognize the holiday in 1873. It was recognized by all northern states by 1890. Differently, the South refused to acknowledge the day and honored their dead on separate days. This went on until after World War I when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war.

With the Congressional passage of the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 – 363), it is now observed on the last Monday in May by almost every state.

This helped ensure a three day weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) for Federal holidays. In addition, several southern states have an additional separate day for honoring the Confederate war dead: January 19th in Texas; April 26th in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; May 10th in South Carolina; and June 3rd (Jefferson Davis’ birthday) in Louisiana and Tennessee .

Spring Quater Orientation

On April 5, Jubilee School held the Spring Quarter Orientation online.

The main content of this orientation was the changed teaching method of the master’s songwriting course. The practical course, conducted as an individual lesson, will be integrated into individual and group lessons from this spring quarter.

The new teaching method is to help each student find their strengths as a songwriter. There are several types of songwriters: Lyricist, Performing Songwriter, Songwriter-Producer, Staff Writer, Top-Line Songwriter, among others, and through individual lessons, students learn the general skills of a songwriter type and experience the various appeals of the styles through collaboration in group lessons. From that, students can know which type suits them and have an unbiased outlook on songwriting types.

Therefore, We anticipate a professional Christian songwriting outlook in the school lectures over this year.

About Good Friday

Every year Good Friday is observed on the Friday before Easter and this year it falls on April 2. According to the Church’s Lunar calendar, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after Paschal Full Moon which is on April 4th this year. It is on this that the Christians commemorate Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. It is a day of grief, penance and fasting for Christians all over the world. The day is also known as Black Friday for the same reason. Good Friday aka Holy Friday also marks the end of Lent which is a 40-day fasting period for Christians.

Good Friday is about the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. According to many reports, it was on this day that Christ was arrested and executed. Good Friday is considered holy because on this day, out of his love for everyone, Jesus Christ gave his life as a sacrifice while suffering for the sins of people. It was because of this gesture that humanity got a fresh start and all their sins were dismissed. It is also said that the aforementioned crucifixion took place around AD 30 or AD 33.

Now the question that arises is – if the day has such a sad history, why is it known as Good Friday? According to belief, the term actually came from the words God’s Friday. However, there is another group of people that believe that ‘Good’ stands for Holy and that is why the day is also known as Holy Friday.

Though Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday, it was on Easter that the son of God resurrected, according to Bible. It signifies that good always wins and the fact that he went through so much suffering for the sins of humanity shows how much he loved everyone.

Final Exams Start on the 17th

As of today, all classes in the Winter Quarter are over and the final exam period is from tomorrow to the 23rd.

The results of the previous survey on class evaluation and satisfaction show that the academic achievement of the winter quarter is also very high, so the faculty expects that the students’ test results will be upgraded overall.

In addition, as school and students’ expectations for on-site classes are rising from the spring quarter, the office plans to compile various environmental data and announce the policy soon.

The school office gives deep thanks and glory to God for the academic achievement and student satisfaction that went without incident this quarter as well.

Spring Quarter Registration Begins

Registration for the Spring Quarter starts tomorrow the 15th

Many students expected to take classes from spring onwards due to the government’s massive dissemination of the Covid-19 (Wuhan Pneumonia) vaccine, but the office decided not to open the campus until this year.

The reason is that since the vaccine has been distributed since this year, the certainty of its effectiveness cannot be guaranteed yet, and since the school building is small and closed, it is still premature to open it offline.

Office is considering a number of options to make up for the gaps students feel due to online classes.

Jubilee School hopes that this year, both students and faculty will be able to finish the program in good health.

The 2021 Winter Quarter began in earnest.

The 2021 Winterl quater began with classes on January 4th.

Like the previous quater, all classes are conducted online in this quater. In the last quater evaluation, the collaboration method between students, group lectures and 1:1 lecture collaboration, and flexible class time planning method, which students actively supported, were further upgraded and applied to this Quater.

The school has doubled the media department this time to help students clear all classes without a hitch. The effect was greatly revealed from the first day of class. The same phenomenon as before, where the flow of classes was cut off, disappeared as online communication was conducted almost without time lag.

The students expressed their great satisfaction with this and greatly raised their enthusiasm for the academic achievements of this winter quater 2021.
